He is cleaning his sheets identifying with God. I think he sort of realizes what he has done and decides he needs to change because after having sex with Mrs. Doyle he gets sick and stays sick for a while gets better tehn gets sick again, I believe it is his remorse, in a way. In the end Mr. Doyle I dont believe he really likes Miss Lonelyhearts anymore, he comes over and Lonelyhearts sees it as his opportunity to embrace adn heal the crippled. Mr. Doyle reaches into a package that he is carrying and then tries to get rid of it and him and Lonelyhearts end up tumbling down the stairs. I conclude that Mr.Doyle was plotting to kill Lonelyhearts but fails thanks to Betty comming up and I believe she startled him so he tried to rid of the evidence. In the end Lonelyhearts ended up in a better state than in which he began. It seemed to me he gave up always wanting sex and settled for God, which in the end is always the better way to end up.

He has had his drink
Drink more like drinks, he is drunk quite a bit of this book. He also gets drunk with the people’s husband of whom he has either slept with or that he has done something with. He doesn’t think many things through considering the fact he kisses and has dates with his boss. I do not understand how someone can go and do somehting with their bosses wife, or even someone that he has never met before. It just sickens me that he is that sex crazy that they will do it with anyone, even the people that are writing him for advice of their problems they never asked for you to have sex with them he just makes them think that is they solution. In all honesty he is a man-whore who does not know how to treat a women. This book was said to be a bad book in the 20th century, well I dont think it has changed much it is still just as disgusting if not more as it was then.
Just one kiss
Miss Lonelyhearts hung-over and all, goes over to Shrikes house because he is thinking about sex, and he knows she will kiss him but
she will not sleep with him which suits him just fine. Shrike and him argue about Shrikes wife Mary. Mary and Miss Lonelyhearts go to a Spanish restruant but he just becomes more depressed, she gets nervouse as they kiss she believes Shrike might hear. He is desperate even though he knows she’ll say no but he ask her anyway if she will sleep with him and of course she declines. Honestly this is like a lot of boys/men today they are always wanting this. They dont always care if you are pretty or ugly they just want to do it. I dont understand boys/men they are complicated and stupid.
Guts
You see poor Miss Lonelyhearts his life doesnt get better, honestly it gets worse, he is engaged and his fiance admits that she is in love with him and he says it back. Great right? Then she tells him to get out, because he has made her feel bad. Then he goes to a bar and he gets punched in the mouth… That is so sad he gets punched after being told to go away by his fiance. His day just gets better and better do you agree?
